Itinerary
1
Day 1: Istanbul to Cappadocia

25 May 2025, 04:45 AM

You will take a morning flight to Kayseri to begin your adventure in Cappadocia. At 09:30 AM, your Fairy Chimneys Tour will start. Today’s journey includes visits to several iconic locations. First, you will explore Devrent Valley, located on the northern slopes of Aktepe, just 1 km from Pasabaglari (Monks’ Valley) and 5 km from Avanos. The ruins are scattered across three valleys and are known for their pointed fairy chimneys with large stems. Your next stop will be Love Valley, the best place to see the unique three-headed fairy chimneys. This area, including Pasabag (the Pasha’s Vineyard), is surrounded by breathtaking natural rock formations. Then you will visit Avanos, a town famous for its terra cotta artistry dating back to 3000 BC. You will have the chance to visit a traditional pottery workshop, often carved into the hillside, and witness clay being crafted from the Red River that flows through the town. The tour continues to Uchisar, a troglodyte town in the heart of Cappadocia, named after a massive rock formation that was once used as a castle. This towering rock is the highest point in the region and offers a panoramic view of Cappadocia and Mount Erciyes. At the end of the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel for an overnight stay in Cappadocia. (Breakfast & Lunch included)

2
Day 2: Rose Valley and Mazikoy Underground City Tour at 09:30 AM

25 May 2025, 04:45 AM

You will be picked up from your hotel for a full-day tour of South Cappadocia. The first destination is Kizilcukur, an isolated valley behind Urgup that features stunning rock formations and hidden rock-carved churches. What makes this area truly remarkable is the intricate network of paths connecting small villages and towns through vineyards and gardens, often resembling a spider’s web. It is common to encounter local villagers offering fresh grapes, apples, or apricots. Next, you will visit Cavusin, one of the oldest settlements in Cappadocia, located just 2 km from Goreme on the road to Avanos. Here you’ll see the Church of St. John the Baptist, which dates back to the 5th century and offers a sweeping view of the village. This church is notable for its age and its large courtyard, which is unusual for the region, although much of it has eroded over time. The tour then continues to Mazikoy, one of the largest and deepest underground cities in Cappadocia, featuring eight floors, although not all are accessible to the public. Lastly, you will visit the famous Pigeon Houses and the surrounding rock formations. After the tour, you will return to your hotel for another overnight stay in Cappadocia. (Breakfast & Lunch included)

Pamukkale, meaning “cotton castle,” was formed over time by natural hot springs rich in calcium and carbonate that cascade down the hillsides, creating white travertine terraces. You will also visit the ancient Roman health spa of Hierapolis, famed for its thermal springs, Roman theatre, Agora, and extensive Necropolis. Stay in Pamukkale.
